Hi All,

someone could help me abut the relationship between light with IES distribution profile and the shape/dimensions of the polygon associate to it?
It seems here that the size doesn't matter (if I scale the plane the result seems the same) but if I change the shape (i.e. from a square to a rectangle), the light distribution it changes totally.
Thanks,

Roy

Hi Roy,
in the emission there is the Surface Brightness option to consider or not the emitter dimensions, and works with any emitter not only IES.
The IES pattern and shadows are affected by the dimension of the emitter chosen, at 1cm x 1cm you have crisp pattern and shadow, the more you increse the dimensions, the more blurred will be the effect.

ciao Beppe

edit: please Roy, avoid to open several discussions with roughly the same question, thanks.
