Can't you just use lock aspect ratio, like if it was 1920 x 1080, click the lock aspect ratio on resolution and then you can increase/decrease just one (ie width) and it will reconfigure the other (height). At least standalone has this feature.

He means not changing size, but basically expanding the frame, so you see more. Right now to do that you either have to move your camera back or lower the lens angle, both of which change the camera view. Overscan lets you keep the exact same camera angle but expand the render size.Notiusweb wrote:Can't you just use lock aspect ratio, like if it was 1920 x 1080, click the lock aspect ratio on resolution and then you can increase/decrease just one (ie width) and it will reconfigure the other (height). I think somewhere on the forums there's a formula you can use to do this manually but unfortunately there's not an option built in. It would be very useful indeed.

Changing the height of the image should already work as you expect. For the width I think the easiest way to do this is to update the "Scale of view" by the same factor you changed the image width. So for example if you double the width double the scale of view.
Can this be done automatically using either built in option or an OSL script?jobigoud wrote:Changing the height of the image should already work as you expect. I saw OSL script for 3ds max. This is very important feature for some arch-viz situation. I used it very often in LightWave 3D.
