Hello,

I need some alternatives to the backburner to render several images with Octane.

I'm not able to use the backburner, so if you have any tips or material, where I can find out, please send it to me!

Thanks

Hi samsue,
you could use the 3dsMax batch render tool.

so the backburner should work, right? If so, I will invest some time in figuring out the problem. I couldn't find it, but does Octane have any time limit setting?

To tell you how long Octane should render.

I put for example 60 minutes, octane will render for 60 minutes, stop and save the result. as in V-ray Progressive Time Limit.

Is there such a thing in the Octane?

Hello samsue,
Octane works differently, more efficient then time limit workflow.
try using adaptive sample (set Expected exposure like your camera exposure setting) and Ai Light.
using Denoiser you can reduc max samples; you can make some test, gradually reducing the max samples, before to run your final render.

Thank you, I'll test this worklfow. I haven't had much time to test it yet, with more depth.

I'm working and reading the octane documentation.
