Good evening (o;
I've done a scene in regular Blender with E_Cycles as renderer...
Now I wanted to compare it to current Octane Blender 2.80 version with LiveDB materials...
But so far I am not satisfied with the results LiveDB is offering.....well..also not with the AI denoiser with my scene...
seems even doing 5000 samples and running the denoising the output looks dull...especially with PT renderings...which I need most...
So my question(s) here.....
Is anyone using the LiveDB in Blender at all? Any why can't I add own materials to it in the Octane LiveDB window under the LocalDB tab?
Are there any more professional material sets out there?
thanks in advance
richard
LIveDB
To add material to local database you have to set the proper path in Add-on settings. After the path is set you need to go to Material tab > Settings > where you can find a "Save as OctaneDB" button which is used to save the material.
I personally don;'t use it as I mostly do my materials from scratch or copy them from other projects using Blender's append function.
