I've been getting this error: Cannot Authenticate: This may be due to that your Internet connection is down or either firewall or a proxy are blocking...
REASON: OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to account
//On a side interesting note, doesn't matter what password I'm typing in, it still give that error so I'm guessing something is not connecting correctly?
I've tried everything I could think of;
- Switch firewall off
- Internet is definitely ON
- I install the latest R21, reinstalled twice.
- All Cuda drivers up to date
- Tried 2019.1.1-R3 and tried 2018.1.3-R5
-Took my machine to another office to see if the internet is "different" - no luck
Running Windows 10 Pro, Cinema R21. , Nvidia 2080Ti Driver 431.86
I really need help, please. AS usual in the middle of deadlines and need this machine to work desperatly
THANKS for any help!

Hi,
please, try switching to the DNS service provided by Cloudflare:
https://1.1.1.1/dns/
ciao Beppe

OK, I've figured it out, thanks for the advice @bepeg4d
All I did was:
1. Internet Options
2. Click on Connections Tab
3. LAN Settings
4. Automatically detect settings (mine was on "use proxy server for LAN...')
Also, I used wifi instead of the network but I don't think that would have an issue?
