Hi everyone,
Octane is really new to me so I would like someone to tell the whole process of putting Revit and 3dsMax files into Octane in order to render? Thanks

Hi,
Although I am not a Revit User, I think the best pipeline involves using 3ds max/viz in between,
and linking it as a DWG in 3ds max, then using the octane plugin for 3ds max to render.

As you will not have access to the full version with the obj. exporters try this instead.crniUBICA wrote:Hi everyone,

1) Export the file from Revit to 3Ds Max.
2) Apply uvw mapping co-ordinates to the model in 3ds max and also assign your various materials to the model in Max.
3) Export as a .obj file.
4) Open Octane.Right click in the node work area and select a new mesh node. That will open a file open box. Then find and select the .obj file that you exported from max and load it into Octane.
Hope that works for you
