Good afternoon
Haven't found any clear answer to this: How I can import the LiveDB material and store it into the LocalDB folder...
Not sure if this will help the loads of crashes when importing a material from LiveDB in Blender 2.80...
but as I remember this was always the case with crashes on previous Blender versions...
thanks in advance
richard
Copy LiveDB to local DB
Hi Davorin,
There must, or should be an easier way, but I can share method I have used to get materials into the Local in order to use the same material across two plugins (from Cararra to Blender:
1. with an octane material on an object, export an .ocx or .orbx file.
2. open the exported file in the StandAlone
3. from there, in either the scene tab or the nodegraph editor, you can right click, and click "save" (not export, not save as) directly on the material.
4. from there, select "Location" and the local db should show up.
