Hello guys, i have 3 gtx 1080ti working at the moment on my setup, but i have look to the benchmarks of RTX cards and daam is amazing¡ they have almost 3x 4x or 5x speed improve with the RTX feature ON.

My question is, if i get now an RTX 2080TI Card combined with my other gtx 1080ti cards, i will get that improve on my render times or all the cards have to RTX o get that improve?

Hi,

Mixing RTX and GTX shouldn't be a problem. I have a 2080ti and a 1080ti running together, the 1080ti increases the speed of renders by about 60-70% over just having the 2080ti.

funny you posted this because I just added 2x 2080ti to my 1080ti (replaced 2x 1080 with the 2x 2080ti's) and it appears to be technically working--although I'm having trouble getting the 2080's to show up as RTX in the octanebench. although in the octance bench thread, i've seen others running similar mixed setups that seemed to be doing RTX fine, so I dunno :?
