Our company internet when down in the middle of our rendering session, How do we use Octane without our internet? Saw some back and forth about “Offline mode,” how do I turn this on? Can’t log in to to the Launcher.
I mean obviously it’s possible, not being able to render without internet would be ridiculous and an instant refund lol,
So hopefully someone can help us? We have a deadline tomorrow and need to get back to rendering ASAP so any help would be appreciated.
Not being able to render without internet is absolutely unacceptable, so surely I’m just missing something here.

Hi,
please note that OctaneRender activation needs only few kbytes, and a cellphone, even with gprs connection, can be used for this task.
Also note that you need the internet connection only on start, for authentication, and before exit for deactivation. So you can use a cellphone for connecting to internet before starting your host application with plugin, or Standalone.
Disconnect from the internet after activation and work with OctaneRender.
And finally reconnect to the internet just before closing Standalone or the host app, to correctly deactivate the licenses.
In this way you can work in a sort of Offline mode, obviously, you cannot have access to the LiveDB section while you are without internet connection.
From v4, you need to purchase the Offline USB Dongle option from the Shop page, choosing the option in the top menu:
