I ran into some weird behaviour on instances while rendering with Octane. I've been testing to narrow down the issue. I'm posting it so anyone with similar issues can save some time

So: If you have an instancer, and in there you use a texture on the weights, it must be used with a UV Map. Procedurals and other images with other projections give random results both in placement and color.
This happens on the Lightwave side: the placement is random/unstable without UV's, but the random colour is consistent. In Octane, both the colour and placement is random/unstable.
So, hooray for UV coordinates.
