Why aren't more 3d companies integrating more interfaces like this?

Its such a good selling point and the number one feature I miss from Maxwell...
Something like this?

Oh right, I know its possible with Octane. Just saying a nice interface with the file setup for quick saving out as a png and stuff. Not doing like exr's and layering them all in photoshop and adjusting exposure and all that.

That's cool, I can write software for this if there's enough backing.
Developer of tools for Octane:
Phantom Scatter - Phantom Node Link - Phantom Photo Match - Phantom Architecture

Interesting, are you guys talking about the same thing?
From my understanding Lightmixers (Maxwell, Corona, Maverick...) usually split the contribution of each light into its own layer. Essentially doing a LightSelect render element / Multipass of a given light. Then what usually happens is you have a UI where you can dial in contributions (and colors + strength) of each light you preselected for the effect.
It is essentially like doing a 32bit Linear Image and adding Light Layers on top of it in Photoshop / Nuke / Affinity / wherever. You can obviously tweak the strength and color of those layers then.
Light Linking on the other hand is about inclusion and exclusions of lights for certain objects and effects. So not quite the same

Agreed. Would be awesome.paride4331 wrote:would be cool.Phantom107 wrote:That's cool, I can write software for this if there's enough backing.
I think we are talking about the same thing, but the excluding and including got brought in as well. I get what you are saying though, they are different. Just want an interface where I can adjust the lights and colors without having to bring it all in photoshop and layer it up myself. And I can just click save then go into photoshop. Basically Maxwells multilight.nejck wrote:Interesting, are you guys talking about the same thing?
