Hi All,

We will release our 2.48 test release within 12 hours.
Here's a teaser screenshot of one of the new features, real-time previews of livedb materials.

The previews are loaded of the webserver in 3 different views, in real-time. (eg FAST! :) )
They can also be scaled to a very large resolution by adjusting the size of the outliner pane horizontally,
with a sharp preview loading in real-time up to 800x800 pixels resolution.
The system actually loads custom sizes to make it fast and minimize bandwidth usage.

This is the most 'visible' new feature of the soon to be released 2.48 test release (in the release candidates forum),
together with the new Multi-GPU framework, and much more fixes to the PMC kernel.

Yours,
Radiance

Great. Radiance, please include Reinhard color mapping for camera response. And perhaps a LocalDB tab for later.
