Quite often I want to create connections between materials, for example 3 leaf textures should have the same specularity. Currently when I export from C4D I have to re-create each of those textures, just to be able to set their specularity to derive from the same node. It would be great if the exporter just made a whole node graph out of your materials. It could even be smart and create nodes for common textures and things like that.

Unfortunately that is not possible with the current interface to Octane. But don't worry we plan to attack the workflow issues soon.

i feel excited too reading this; just to let you know RS team :)

huge leaps forward within a short period lately; the very fine 2.52 release, new sdk's and api, otoy partnership... this all sounds very, very good and even more promising for what the future will bring... applause :D
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply
