HDR studio vs 3 light setup

Hi all

I did a test between HDRI studio lighting and physical 3 light setup with black body lighting and the HDRI was heaps faster to render then the 3 lights any ideas why? pics attached,

Hi there,

Is it possible for you also to show how you did the light set up?
(placement, distance from objects etc)

maybe a simple screenshot from your 3d scene wireframe.
I like your setup.

Hi The Oracle

Here is a screen shot of my setup nothing fancy. It could be that the backdrop and side emitters are intersecting that is giving the longer render times :?:
