Octane not showing up in C4D
Hi,
Mojave is not supported by Nvidia at the moment, so there are no CUDA drivers:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topi ... cos-10-14/
So you should need to install a frash copy of High Sierra on an external hdd, with latest CUDA and GPU drivers to be able to use OctaneRender under Mac:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-h ... 4741?mt=12
Is your mac equipped with an Nvidia CUDA capable GPU?
If not, please, have a look at this alternative eGPU solution via Thunderbolt port starting from this discussion:

In this way, you can use the internal GPU for system/monitor/OpenGL, while the external GPU is used only for CUDA rendering, at full power and with all the available VRAM.
At the following link you can find an extensive guide about eGPU solutions via Thunderbolt under Mac:
[The Beginner’s eGPU Setup Guide for Mac](https://egpu.io/setup-guide-external-graphics-card-mac/)
I personally work everyday with an iMac 27" 5k with Thunderbolt 3 eGPU 1070, under High Sierra.
ciao Beppe

hello I cannot get octane to show up in C4d. Im on the Mac M1 chip. has anyone gotten this to work?
M1 chip support is still considered experimental at this stage, and it is still working under Rosetta 2 for plugins in Big Sur, at the moment.vidyavisions wrote:hello I cannot get octane to show up in C4d. Im on the Mac M1 chip. has anyone gotten this to work?
Please, select the Cinema 4D.app, press Command+I, to get the Info panel, and enable the **Open using Rosetta** option:

You need to install c4doctaneX PR11, that is the first version supporting c4doctaneX with M1 chip.
