Hi,
i am currently trying to make the following work correctly: I have a mesh where I added detail with sculpting in C4D. Then I baked the displacement and normal map to use one a low poly version of the object. The standard render in c4d shows the correct displacement of the added sculpted details. when I try to do the same within Octane the results are terrible.
i reaserched the topic and tried already the following:
change Baking Options (optimal mapping: off, cubic, angle)
change the strength of displacement
displacement level set to 8192
change follow smothed normals vs geometric normals vs vertex normals.

I read in one post that it has something to do with how the maps are being generated in cinema 4d but that has so far got me nowhere.
I would really appreciate any help or hint.
Thank You
Piotr

It looks like a lighting problem. The 'Octane' example is too small to really decide.
