Hello Guys,
i run C4D R19 and just installed the Octane Plugin for this Version of Cinema. When I hit the Octane Button for Rendering in the Live Viewer the message "There is no CUDA Device which is selected" shows up although I have installed the latest CUDA toolkit (10.1) and have selected the grafic card (RTX 2070) in the octane preferences. Do you have any idea how to solve that error?
"There is no CUDA Device which is selected"
Hi,
the CUDA toolkit is not necessary, it is useful only for developers.
What is your operating system?
Which Nvidia driver have you installed?
Which version of C4D and c4doctane are you using?
ciao Beppe

I have the same problem, Win10, new PC with RTX2070, Cinema 4D r19 / r20 both updated to last version available.
It bothers me a lot, I had an old pc with an 1080 and it worked flawlessly.
Contacted Nvdia Support, they guided me through an endless process of removing drivers, re installing everything... nothing works.
Completely disappointed.
Thanks.

Please, download and run OctaneBench 4.00c, and post a screenshot of the result:

And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for all the available Nvidia GPUs, thanks:

Please, also go to c4doctane Settings/Devices panel, and share a complete screenshot, thanks.
Then share another screenshot similar to this:
