Hi there,
I'm having issues with noise in the Layer Shadows Render Pass. Interestingly enough, if I render a full beauty pass, I don't get any of the noise that appears in the shadow pass. I'm used to the noisy edges, but this time i also have a lot of noise in the actual shaded areas. Please see the following comparison:
I've tried denoiser on and off, adaptive sampling on and off, tried upping the samples for both the kernel and the info passes - no luck. Scene setup includes an HDR plus some additional Octane lights.
Here's my current kernel settings:
Am I missing something?

Hi Senorpablo,
As I know this issue was fixed in 2018.1 SDK and should be released a 4.03.1 SDK as soon as possible.
Regards
Paride

Hi paride, thank you for response - I assume this was intended for me.
I have just switched over to OctaneRender_2018_1_RC4, but the problem is still present. It doesn't look like I have any access to later versions with my regular license.
We're kind of stuck now not being able to render this file, but it really needs to go out to the client - is there any other version I could downgrade to where this problem doesn't exist yet?

Hi Paride,
we're still having this issue - we have a full license from years ago and do not seem to have access to the 2018.1 version of Octane.
Has this problem been fixed in any of the Octane 4.xx releases?

Hi designandcode,
unfortunately Octane V4 SDK is not the same as Octane V2018, so it cannot be fixed.
