CUDA error 999 on device 1: unknown error
-> failed to link file
device 1: failed to load OSL shader code:
error : Multiple definition of 'cuSptStatistics' in 'cuda_texturenode', first defined in 'snippets_internal'
device 1: failed to compile module 0

Windows 10

Just downloaded 4.02.1 Stand-Alone Subscription
and
Octane Render_VR_for_Maya_4.02_-_13.29

Stand alone renders on both cards just fine.

maya 2018 gives errors above

Driver is 25.21.14.1917 which is from 419.17 -Win 64bit driver download

Deleted old plugins from add-remove programs and old standalone versions. Restarted.

Happens on a sphere with new shader applied... in hypershade no preview

Any help appreciated

Thanks

oh I see maybe you use a too old plugin for the driver version !!
(I think you need a plugin version based on octane 4.02.1 sdk or later if you use the driver 419.17 or later)

please update to plugin 13.35, this will solve your problem.

Are you sure you have this bug with plugin 13.35 ? in first post you talk about plugin 13.29 ...

Anyway then try to revert to older driver version,
personally I don't have this issue in Maya 2018.5 with plugin 13.35 and drivers 417.35,
but I'm on windows 7.

Thanks Calus

Too many backward steps especially if you are on Win 7 as opposed to Win 10

What is strange I can run Maya 2019 and Octane 2018 R6 no problem with all the above driver settings etc.

I just wonder why 4.02.1 and Maya 2018.5 does not work. I will check that Maya version though. I am pretty sure that I selected the standalone recommended in the Maya plugin downlaod etc.

Thanks though mate

Don't use the plugin from the download section, but the one from the forum link in my first post.

The Download section is kind of a joke, always outdated....
last Maya plugin in Download section is 13.29, it use the 4.02 SDK not 4.02.1,
so it can't work ok with the driver you have.
