sketchup animation

hey this is probably a noob question, but I am a noob

Anyway I'm trying to render an animation.
But when I hit render animation it only renders the scene's and not the scene transition.
Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

You are right.
There is no frame-animation per se in Octane or in Sketchup.

You take the series of exported image files and make those into a movie using 3rd party software that will then adds several 'betweened' images inserted as additional frames based on the two images either side... There are several free tools to do this [e.g. Windows Movie Maker].

To ensure a smooth series of base scenes are available first, then there are several tools to make these inside Sketchup - e.g. Flightpath from Smustard and several other tools like CameraRecoder etc available from SketchUcation.com...
