Hi,

I have a little issue with universal material.
I'm trying to use RGB IOR workflow in it, but something goes wrong.

For exemple, trying to do a brass material. If I enter the IOR values for every colors, in a metallic material, it gives me the correct color ( a very beautiful yellow). If I try with exactly the same values in universal material, it gives me a beautifull but incorrect purple.

Why? What's wrong?

Thanks,
Francesco

Hi,

Be aware that the GUI order of the six RGB IOR parameters is not the same in both nodes. In the metallic, they are (n,k,ng,kg,nb,kb) while in the universal material they are (n,ng,nb,k,kg,kb) ... probably you need to reorder your parameters values in the universal material.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks so much.

How silly I am. I did not notice that the order had changed.

Thanks again

Regards.

More silly questions, can you (Juan) reorder it to be same order in LW plugin or it's something which is hard-coded by octane core for some reason?
If you can reorder it it would be more consistent.

thanks

Reorder these parameters in the GUI should not be a problem. I was already thinking about it for the next build ;)

Thanks,
