IPR updates immensly faster than f10
Moderator: juanjgon
I know IPR lacks certain "technical elements" like types of motion blur and deformation stuff etc. but sometimes i find myself thinking just saving the frames rendered in IPR would be sufficient. Often times the f10 render takes SOO long to update between frames even with virtually every update option is unchecked and the scene is very lightweight. Would there be a way to implement some sort of IPR-f10 mode to just use the IPR render and write the frames to disk?
Hi,
The scene update time should be the same for the IPR and for F10 rendering in "update scene" mode. The plugin is using the same code in both cases. Can you please send me an example scene to try to reproduce this behavior here? Also, are you using the network rendering feature, or can you see this problem only working with local GPUs?
Thanks,

I realized I was being dumb, my IPR window is significantly smaller than my actual render resolution... so obviously it will update faster.
But I notice a lot of crashes and freezing when rendering at 4k, but 1080p is just fine. Shouldn't it just take longer, why would it be so unstable?
