So i'm currently renting Octane 4 for Cinema 4d and it doesn't at all require the Standalone version. So why then is Otoy forcing people to pay for a standalone when it is obviously not necessary? Other than a cash grab of course. And how is the entire community not seeing this. It's obvious. Don't get me wrong. I love this product and would love to buy, but this issue is definitely stopping me. So why can't I simply pay for only the plugin price and download the same version I would VIA the renal subscription, and it have or have not maintenance options? Hope this isn't too confusing because it's very simple and obvious that people don't need the standalone. If anything, how about awarding the people that are aware of this and speak up about it with an adjusted plugin price?
