This deserves a new thread (o;

During animation rendering either as movie or as individual images I get lots of black frames like in this short clip of 100 frames:

Unfortunately this is known issue in v16.x.x plugin. Have you updated you CUDA drivers?

So it should work on 3.08.5 - 15.3.4 ?

On macOS you can't update CUDA driver as there is only one drvier version per macOS build.

Are you using latest drivers release?

The latest stable version that will not produce black frames is 15.3.4 or any other v3 based release.

Yes, that's the version I am using...

I did a clean install of macOS 10.13.6 on a H270 motherboard with i7-7700 and GXT1080...

So I switched back to 15.3.4 and let the animation run again....

Only installed 4.0RC7 due to license deactivation issues....

You can try exporting an animation to ORBX file and rendering it in standalone app if you need v4 features.

I tried once exporting a fluid simulation....generated two 105GByte files ;-)

Did now some frames...no black frames ;-)

Hey.

I've also experienced black rederings in 16.2.8. Both in Preview and FInal renderings. Once the renderings are black, I have to start/stop Preview several times until the Preview renders normal again.

And when you go back to 3.08.5 - 15.3.4?

Did solve my problem:

I just rendered 75 frames test sequence on 16.2.8.
