When I do a simple scene where a bitmap cast an image onto a plane I have to set the emission power of texture in the standalone to 25...
In Blender I have to set the same power to 250000....
Also the render output doesn't look similar when both are using the path tracer...
This is with OctaneRender Demo 3.08.5 on macOS 10.13.6 and Blender 2.79b with demo plugin.
