I just picked up and installed a RTX 2080 Ti. The current OctaneBench does not support the GPU yet, whereas Octane in Modo and LW does. :)
I'll perform some renderings of the example scenes and write some numbers..

Perhaps. I'm not so big on the other sections of the forum. I honestly find it a bit daunting/messy. :?

That's great test man, pity you didn't have 1080Ti to compare but it should be 2x-3x faster in most cases anyway.

What Octane version you used for the test ?

A really great thanks for sharing these very interesting results :)
It is a pity you do not have a 1080 Ti.
I will try to order two RTX 2080 Ti for a render slave.

BTW, It is bit odd that stand alone version does not support the new RTX whereas LW and modo Plug-in does :(
