Hi

I was wondering if you have planed something to automatically apply materials?

Like: My objects name is MyTable0001, MyTable0002, MyOldTable0001

Then i select folder with materials named MyTable and its applied automatically to the two first object and my mateial named MyOldTable is applied to the last.

I wonder because something like this would make it easy to apply materials to finished models like those from evermotion.

Mixing 150 models from evermotion and then make octane apply materials based on names would make things so much faster, and having different folders you can have different
material setup on the same models. In fact you could easily change the entire sofa group materials in a living room illustration with only a few clicks or completely finish applying all the materials in a scene in less tan a minute.

This could also be used with live DB!

Hope this makes sense, not always easy to understand my English:-p

Hi,

You can drag and drop a livedb material right onto the object in your render viewport to apply it fast.
