Just wasted 3 days of rendering 22 takes and none of them had a moving camera. The camera was standing still although it was animated in all takes.

After testing I found out that it's because of motion blur enabled. As soon as I disable motion blur in the camera and the render settings, the camera renders fine with animation (but of course without motion blur).

Motion blur only works if you render straight to picture viewer but not if you render with the "Render All Marked Takes to PV" command for takes and also does not render when you render over deadline with takes.

I'm totally pissed.

v3.08.2 R2.1 (there was nothing in the v3.08.3 release notes that made me think this bug could have been fixed)

Did you rendered one frame for per takes?

Not sure I understand, sorry Ahmet.

In deadline each take was split into "frame chunks" of 10 frames. Every time a node started a frame chunk, the first frame had the correct camera position, the last 9 had just the same position as the first frame. So every time the job was started the first frame was always correct but all others didnt move at all.

Same with local rendering. If I would render each Frame seperately, then all would be correct, but that would mean I would need to start the Rendering process every time again for each frame, which is just not possible on 22*250 frames.

Plugin doesn't assume that you switch to different cameras. It consider you have one camera and jumps to another position on every takes's change. It will cause one frame motion blur between positions.

Cameras are not switching during one take. Each take has it's own camera which only has its PSR values keyframed.

1. Create two cameras
2. Animate both cameras, apply octane camera tag, turn on motion blur
3. Create two takes.
4. Assign camera 1 to take 1 and camera 2 to take 2
5. Mark both takes
6. Render via the "Render marked takes to PV" button

Both cameras will be static.

I just tested it on 3.08.2-R2.1 and it works just fine. Though I had some problems with takes on my last job where takes were just rendeirng black and working perfect when starting the job seperately. I attached the scene which works for me, maybe I missed something.

Yes but plugin behaves like having one camera. There's not bug but something which is not implemented yet. I'll look after some time.

I just tried it with baking the cameras first. It still didn't work.

I think I couldn't explain it well. Add a few static frames to begin of each takes. And don't render those frames.
