Hi All,
This is next test/preview release of plugin which is based on V4-RC2 SDK. We recommend that you mention that it is experimental, they should not use it for production work, and that we cannot guarantee backward compatibility.
Please note that this build will expire in 60 days, this is now shown on the bottom right of the standalone release.
Whilst we have reached the feature lock milestone, we consider this a non-stable release, as we expect to stabilise in preparation for the first stable. Until then, please do not use this for production purposes.
Please see this thread for V4 features: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=66013
This is matching Standalone V4-RC2: Standalone 4 RC 2
Important notes:
Since XB2 Preview, we have dropped support for Fermi cards.
Network render is still disabled.
Denoiser is under Camera Imager from Settings or Camera Tags. Just denoised beauty pass is available in plugin, others will be added.

Installation
First remove all octane related stuff from plugins and main folder of Cinema4D.
Extract all files to Cinema4D\plugins\c4dOctane directory.
Also download manual.zip and extract to c4dOctane directory if it's not available in place.
There are a few files for each one is for different Cinema4D version. Remove all except the file is for your version.
Ex. if you have Cinema4D R18.0, keep only "c4dOctane-r18.cdl64" and delete c4dOctane-r17.cdl64, c4dOctane-r16.cdl64, c4dOctane-r15.cdl64, etc..
Cinema 4D Release 15: c4dOctane-r15.cdl64 or c4doctane_R15_demo.dylib
Cinema 4D Release 16: c4dOctane-r16.cdl64 or c4doctane_R16_demo.dylib
Cinema 4D Release 17: c4dOctane-r17.cdl64 or c4doctane_R17_demo.dylib

Problem in my GTX1080. I found a 100% crash situation (enable denoise - enable AI light) and if 'm using only my 1070 - its ok. Then i'm turning on my GTX 1080 - instant render failure (out of memory).Cheiser wrote:Testing on another scene, looks like its ok...but i'm not shure...maybe i should install win10 on my pc...Cheiser wrote:Windows 8.1

I'll try to open my problem scene with only 1070. Then i'll try to swap my GPU's, put 1070 in 1st slot and 1080 in 2nd.
UPD. Problem in PSU. I unluged my gtx 1070 and no crash on 1080. Looks like i need more power. Aoktar, i'm sorry for my rage. Its not a problem with octane, its my hardware problem
UPD2. Looks like its driver problem. I got a problems before with installation. I cleaned up my drivers using DDU utiliy and installed new drivers. Looks like problem solved. But i'll better keep my fingers crossed. Good job, thanks for fast release and feedback.

Looks like it works on old drivers but no textures in viewport.
Thanks for your hard work as usual
