I started going down the rabbit hole with this. Does anyone have a solution.
I usually export exr multilayer files from c4d with a few passes. Then in After Effects, I use EXtractoR to pull render passes. My hope has been to continue doing that with ORC.
All the passes look fine in standalone when the scene is exported as .orbx. Even once downloaded, everything matches the same shot rendered locally except for the infopasses which come out yellow. With the cloud renders EXtractoR doesn't seemed to be pulling rgb channels for the infopasses. .A is in the red .Y is in the green.
I've tried a few settings out of ORC but nothing is giving me the correct result. Does anyone know why this is happening? See attachment.
Thanks!
Depth Channel, AO yellow
Hi,
which Octane version are you using for rendering in ORC? ciao Beppe

Figured it out. Rendering out of c4d generates RBG channels for info passes. Rendering from standalone and ORC generates a luminance and alpha channel but EXtractoR puts them in the wrong spots so you have to reorder them so that the RGB channels get luminance and Alpha gets Alpha.

Hello!
This works for me. Take the AO or Depth pass and just set the pass channel to
Red: Ambient occlussion Y
Green: Ambient occlussion Y
Blue: Ambient occlussion Y
Here is the solution in after effects.
