Smoothing Error?

I'm getting a weird smoothing error and I'm not sure what's causing it. Any ideas?

Could be a lot of things.

Merge points and isolate polys in modeler. Check any textures (mainly normal maps) you may have applied as well as uv's. Also wouldn't hurt to check your smoothing threshold. If you upload the .lwo I can check further.

Yes, it can be a broken normal map or something like that. If you want to send us the scene I could take a look at it here.
