
I just wondered if it might be possible to add an angle threshold for the rounded corners shader so it works the same as phong shading? The Bevel deformer also makes use of this so you can restrict it to certain surfaces but it would be awesome to be able to tweak the Octane rounded corners so I can save on polycount and just use it at render time.
If you see on this image it doesn't end up rounding the edges where I've got added curved corners with the bevel tool. Would I be right in thinking that this is because they are being excluded by the threshold of the rounded corners shader?
I don't know if it's possible to add something like that as I know that phong shading is more a Cinema 4D thing so it might not be available in core but it would be awesome if you would be able to look into this once things have settled down a bit with the v4 release
