Recently, I had a project where I need to hide and/or reveal bolts on various pipe fittings. Cinema friends recommended that I try using a cloner with a plain effector to control the "wiping on and wiping off" effect. After some tweaking, all seemed to be well, until I went to render. I use motion blur for everything, and though the bolts themselves were static, relative to the objects that they were intended to be connected to, the camera itself was in motion. Sadly, whenever I used motion blur for the cloner objects that were being hidden/revealed, the motion blur would render incorrectly. In the end, after going through the myriad of settings for the cloner, the plain effector, the Octane tag, the Octane Camera, and Octane itself, I would not get the error to go away. My solution was to disable the motion blur for the Octane object tag applied to the cloner.

I believe that this is a bug, and I think it resides with Octane, as no other Cinema engine that I have tried seems to exhibit the issue.

I have included my project file, wireframe preview and rendered output in a zip archive. I am also posting the animation itself in this post to show the issue immediately.

Thanks for reporting this! I don't think it's a bug or easy bug to fix. I'll investigate in a long-term period.
