CSV export

Hi,

A slightly odd request/question.

Is it possible to export the transform matrix of a Houdini point scatter to a csv or a txt file so you can use it in Octane standalone scatter tool?

I’m not a programmer so I don’t even know where to start. If you can even write a script that I could copy paste and build an otl that would be fine.

It’s not very important, so if it’s too much work I can always trouble someone else.

Hi Rohan,
when you let IPR go in houdini, if you right click on image you have option to save scene as orbix. In that case, your scene is saved with scatter nodes for instanced objects. But, if you export scene as archive from the rop, behavior is different, scene is baked in to alembic. I do not understand why it is working differently. It will be very handy if an archive export can export scatter nodes too. Especially if it export sequence for every frame. Currently, I am working on project where the instances are animated, instanced geo is very hard, so it is much better if I could export animated scatter node, rather than alembic.
