Hi,

When will we get octane 3.09 with random walk sss for tests?

Where did you hear about random walk sss? I can't find another source than your post.

I think 3.09 will be skipped in favor of 4.0. But its possible i got that wrong.

Hmm.. I think you can have similar results with Octane shaders.

Is not the same results cause is a lot things involved which is not on your render such saturation and the way the SSS is working based on the rays ... plus workflow easy to use.

Of coarse we get we can do similar result but doesn't cover the actually request here.
