Server is not working after computer sleep

A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)

I think I reported it someday. It is still now fixed in latest version.

Thanks for your report.
Do you mean that octaneblender cannot connect to the server after sleep? Could you please give me a bit more descriptions, especially the reproduced steps and the platform(win/osx/linux)?

Hi DrawFun ,

This happens on OSX (10.11.6 and 10.12.6).
The steps are:
1. Launch Octane server, then launch Blender
2. Do some project, rendering etc.
3. Put computer to sleep.
4. Wake up from sleep.
5. Starting interactive render in Blender results with blank screen - "ERROR! Check console for detailed error messages." (Blender console does not show any errors)
6. I need to close the server and start it again to make it work.

Hi J.C,

We have tried to reproduce it but failed. It works fine in my end(macOS 10.13.3 (17D102)).
We will try to provide some force-reactivation interfaces to solve this issue.

Same happens with Standalone app. This must be something in the engine itself :(

Hi J.C,

Thank you for letting me know that. I will add the button for releasing GPUs in blender as workarounds. Then integrate new sdks once it is fixed.

Can it be done automatically after the rendering has been stopped by the user?

Yep, will add an option for you to decide whether stop it automatically.
