To add to this:
I find that the camera is oriented properly (rotation/direction), but it's relative position (if I'm putting this right) always seems to be 0,0,0 in world space. It is almost as if the camera is being imported/exported as a separate object apart from the mesh that is created. Maybe...i don't know. i do know that no matter what camera I use, default perspective, or a created one that the starting position in octane always seems to be "0" I think the same is true for scenes exported from Sketchup too though, so it may be am issue with octane.
Maybe a single keyframe on the camera would help?

There is something going on with the scaling conversion, and the camera not following somehow.
