3.08 RC2 and 4.0 XB1 Installation Problem

Hi.

I am having a problem getting either Octane 3.08 RC2 or 4.0 XB1 to install properly. Whenever I install one, and try to run it, I get the following Windows error:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file."

Anyone else running into this?

UPDATE:
I have tried running as admin, running a command prompt in admin mode and using the command for digital signature test signing, "bcdedit /set testsigning on", then installing, and have tried reinstalling the digital signature of the installer file. All no go.

Hi,
the error "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file." can be caused by a number of factors, including:

• The installer was corrupted during download (Try re-downloading the installer).
• (Win 7 only): Your system has not been updated to support SHA-256 signatures (Please follow the guide below to update your system).
• The installer/application has been modified after download (This can be an indication of a virus on the machine)

To update Windows 7 to support SHA-256 signatures:

1) Download and install the Windows 7 SP1 update utility from Microsoft here:

2) Download and install Security Update KB3033929 from Microsoft here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=46148

I was already SP1 for Win7, so I tried your second link. Works perfectly now. Thanks again!
