C4D forester animation question

Hi, I've been trying to render out a single tree with wind simulation using forester. What I'm finding is that it's quite a slow process when rendering?

20 frames @ 877 x 620pixels Pathtracing takes about 1hr (70 max samples each frame!).

I'm new to animating so maybe I'm doing something wrong here.
