I am planning on getting the gtx580 3gb.
I currently have a AMD Phenom quad processor.
I think I read somewhere that users with AMD processors appear to have problems using Octane.
Is this a problem for me? I just wanted to make sure before I invest a few hundred on a gpu.
Cheers

I have an AMD X6 - 1055T CPU.It works in Octane,no problem.
You might be have thinking about comments made by others about AMD GPU's.
Of course , you can't use them. You do need an Nvidia GPU to operate in Octane.
The GTX580 3GB sounds like a great choice.

Yeah thanks for the advice.
I'm probably going to purchase it now.
I'll post some performance results on the forum because I haven't seen a gtx580 demonstrated with Octane yet.
