Hi There, I'm very new to Octane, I'm sure someone has asked this question before.

If I use an ies spot, my object I use to emit the light doesn't glow.. I just get the ies light pattern.
how do I get my object to be illuminated as well?

Hi tobyone,
from your screenshot, the IES light is working properly, but it is pointing at the opposite -Z direction, normally should be set at -90°.
Your spot is not bright because you are loooking at the back side of the normal. If you rotate the spot by180°, and the projection, evrything should work as expected, I guess.
ciao Beppe
