Hi,
Just looked for replacing my GTX780 with a GTX1080 or GTX1070, couldn't believe the prices I saw on Amazon, for the GTX 1070 Asus Dual I paid 350€ several month ago I should spend 1024€ today
Where do the world is going ? Is Mining killing rendering ?

Who knows?.. This crypto-bubble could burst any day.. causing enough miners to abandon that pursuit altogether, thus stabilizing the GPU market, and also bringing a flood of dirt-cheap used GPUs to eBay, et al. Maybe. Or maybe we're all screwed...

Seems to me that NVidia and AMD would much, much prefer a more boring/predictable/stable GPU market than one that is so speculative and precarious...

I don't know any miners.. Has anyone here mined (when not rendering) and have actually made money?

I read that my local hardware pusher was contacted by a Russian miner who wanted to buy 100.000 cards :) He declined. Now everyone can only buy max 2 cards at a time from his shop. It's crazy out there :) Glad I bought mine in time.
