i have an animated character which i imported into c4d and am using point cache mdd files to drive the animation.
i want to start the rendering of it at frame 70 and there is an offset in the mdd loader that enables that.
the live view shows up well, but when i render out the animation, cached mdd always starts at 0.
any ideas?

Itself of plugin is not doing any operation to change anythings on geometries. Just you need to use cached data for cumulative objects like dynamics/patricles/etc..
Have you tested that with standard renderer to be sure it's not an user mistake?
