I've spent half a day trying to create volumetric smoke with a generator but all I end up with is a perfectly cubic block of smoke. How on earth do I get the smoke to actually look like smoke . I have never seen smoke look like a box, so I am wondering why the default ones (Cloud1 and RandomCloud) look this way. I have tried seemingly adjusting hundreds of sliders in C4D but nothing is even getting close. Please help.
P.S.. I am aware that I can import pre-made VDB files but I want to be able to create the effect with a generator. Maybe its not possible?

I recommend you to use TurbulenceFD if the smoke simulation is
important for your work. It's very comfortable with Octane.
