I'm wondering if octane render/octane camera tag will work with cinema 4d R19, can I render out 3D experiences with this workflow to view in the oculus rift?
Hi SkyRat,
c4doctane has its own Panoramic camera node that works perfectly with GearVR, since you can render in Cubemap 18k format, or Spherical but with less quality.
Just create a new Octane Camera node to have a c4d camera with the proper Octane Camera node attached.
In the tag attribute change the mode from Thin lens to Panoramic, chose your prefered format, my suggestion is Cube map, enable the stereo option in side by side mode, change the rendering resolution to 18.432 x 1.536 pixels, and render your VR node.
Happy GPU Rendering,
