Hi all,

This is a quick-fix update version 3.07 fixing a couple of more or less severe issues of 3.07 TEST 6.

For now, the subdivision surface import settings as well as the import scale are currently ignored during the FBX import. We will follow up on this in the next release...

For an overview of all the main changes of 3.07, please check out the new features post.

Changes since version 3.07 TEST 5:
  • Fixed loading of Alembic files with the correct winding order.
  • Fixed crash when the FBX preferences panel is closed and the FBX file either hasn't been loaded yet or contains no animation stacks.
  • Fixed updating of the FBX import preferences after editing the preferences for an FBX geometry archive.
  • Fixed crash during shutdown if an invalid node item or pin was accessed during the session.
  • Fixed a crash in the download of LiveDB materials used by Octane plugins.

I have to manually enable the slave in my network as it is not checked when ever I start Octane. The slave is listed but not enabled.
This is new as I never had to enable it before. It was enabled automatically before.

Wonder if someone else observed this problem.
The material picker doesn't seem to work well, for small regions I should place the picker right down beside the material to select it.

Since I test the 3.07 it seems that mixing GPU makes the system unstable, I have 3x gtx 1070 and one gtx 780, often Octane stops rendering with All failed GPUs and when I restart it the gtx 780 is not available anymore, I should restart the system to get it back.
Anyone with this problem ?

Is this sonething you can predictably reproduce consistently in 3.07, but then it does not happen in 3.06?
Any kind of repeatable pattern would be interesting to see, especially if you can make it happen in 3.07 and it does not happen in 3.06.

Yes, I can confirm, that the loading of the selected slaves got accidentally deleted in 3.07 test 4. It will be fixed in the next release.

If you've got any scene of which you think that it allows us to reproduce the problem, please send it to me. Thanks.

Yes, if scroll bars are displayed, the picking position is shifted by half of the scroll bar width / height. This will be fixed in the next release.
