I'm on R19 using the 3.03.3-R1 plugin as that's the lastest one that I can get to work with R19. I've run into a couple of problems (that I also have with R18).

First problem. I am trying to get a motion vector pass but I do NOT want to include the motion blur in the beauty pass because I want to do that in post. I found another thread on this forum that said to turn off motion blur in the camera and it would still generate the motion vector pass. I do have Motion vector turned on in the Info Passes portion of the render settings. When I turn off motion blur in the camera, no motion vector data is written. If I leave motion blur on on the camera, the motion vector data that is written is very very dark instead of the bright green to red color I get from c4d's standard render pass. How can I get this pass information written correctly without having it rendered into the beauty pass.

Second problem. I want a material to be emissive. When I go into the emission channel and click on the texture button I select my image which is just a pure white image but nothing shows up in the texture slot then. So I tried opening the node editor and manually wiring the bitmap node created when I had selected the image, directly into the emission channel. When I do this, the line disappears as soon as I let go instead of connecting to the material's emission channel. I've tried this with a white rgbspectrum node and a float node. Nothing will connect to the emission channel. How can I get this to work?

Hi gswartz,
please, download v3.07-test-3a for R19 version, v3.03.3 is quite outdated:

About the vector motion pass, the motion blur have to be active, otherwise nothing will be record in the pass. As soon as you enable the Vector pass, the motion blur is nomore applied to the beauty passes. You need to check your tonemapping/linear settings in the Render Passes settings to correct your output.
About the emission, always use an Imagetexture node for your bitmap, and since is not properly clear what is the issue, please, have a look at v3 example scenes:

There is surely an example of emissiion with texture.
ciao beppe
