I think you can have an environment used for lighting and a VISIBLE environment. Maybe that is what your looking for? Look in the main NODE tree (Open Editor) Octane Render Target and then Visible Environment. As I remember you need to check Visible Backplate on one of the environments..can't remember which.

Hi,

As 3dreamstudios says, probably you could use an environment with the sun only for the visible environment and an environment without the sun to light the scene ... but if you need to light the scene with the sun and you are trying to hide it from the reflections, I'm afraid that currently it is not possible.

Thanks,

Hi JuanJo,
I just wish my polygon would not be seen by the sun. I put rectangles with a texture of sky around my project for the reflection of the windows and I wish that the sun does not see them and does not carry the shadows.
Idem like unseen by rays, camera in LW.
Good holidays ?
Thanks

In the latest plugin build the Shadow Type of the Octane lights can be set to "Off" to disable the shadows casting. This could help, but it doesn't work with the environment sunlight.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
