So the axis function is only functional for orbx/osc files.
I thought that it would have been possible for obj files that are connected as proxies so micro adjustments would have been possible on screen instead of moving the archicad object and reload.
I hope this will be the next step because from an architectural workflow point of view (I am using archicad plugin) this is far more optimized because we have the main model in orbx format and then adding obj files as proxies to certain archicad objects.
So we are one step forward but we need some steps more for perfection.
Any chance for FBX Files?
Thanks.

I don't fully understand your request, but the handles are for modifying placement / scatter nodes. You can't edit geometry in mesh nodes or geometry archives. That's because Octane is not a modeling tool and won't be any time soon. We will probably add a transform pin to all geometry nodes, so that you can place objects without creating placement / scatter nodes. We actually had it already, but pulled it again since it would break forward compatibility. But we will probably bring it back and provide a Lua script to make a scene compatible with older versions.Jasonr wrote:So the axis function is only functional for orbx/osc files.

Re FBX: The next release or the release after will support FBX. The initial implementation is done but not merged into the stable branch yet.

I didn't want to start a new thread, and picked this thread randomly... I don't know if it is just me, but something strange appears to be going on with the forum in the last couple days... it seems like some threads stay highlighted as unread, and some become marked (grayed out) as read, after I back out of thread... I am using the Old Forum Style (hate the new one), if that makes any difference. Thought this was worth pointing out.
Edit:
Okay, this one does indeed become read.. but, for instance, nuno's Thinner sun's size not darker! Bug?! in General stays unread no matter.... weird...
