- I have the Octane C4D license and the Octane Standalone on one machine.
- I have the Octane C4D $20/month sub on my laptop.

The $20/month license doesn't allow network rendering. I want to be able to use my standalone machine's GPUs while rendering from my laptop.

1. Do I need to buy another C4D + Standalone $619?
2. Do I need to buy the C4D license only for $269 for the laptop? (Since my other machine already has everything it needs and it'll run the network daemon.)

If every machine just needs the $619 combo license - what's the point of the $269 license just for C4D?

Thanks.

If you're intending to use one machine for editing and the other just for rendering, you just need an additional Octane ($399) license as you're not planning to use the plugin in two seats at the same time so getting a second combo license wouldn't be necessary in your case.

Note that there's a 20 GPU limit when using network rendering, which is something you might also want to take into account.

ooohhh, ok so:

1. Main machine (3 gpus) octane standalone to be avail for network rendering
2. Laptop (1 gpu) octane standalone + cinema4d plugin

Thanks for clearing that up! :)
